Albert van Dok (Chair / Evening Session Coordinator)

We are pleased to announce that Albert will take on the role of Chair within our foundation. Albert has long been a valued member of our team, known for his excellent organization of the monthly evening sessions and the annual Power BI Community Days. In his role, he manages the planning and coordination with companies hosting our events and maintains close contact with all speakers.

As Chair, Albert will use his dedication and expertise to further promote and safeguard the vision of our foundation. We have full confidence that his leadership and organizational skills will contribute to the continued success and growth of our community. We look forward to the new ideas and fresh energy he will bring to this role.

Sara Woltjes (Speaker Manager)

Sara Woltjes has the honor of joining the board as Speaker Manager. Over the past four years, she has attended the Power BI Community Days—both as a participant and once as a volunteer. These experiences sparked her desire to become more involved, and this year she is taking the step into a board role.

As Speaker Manager, Sara serves as the primary point of contact for all event speakers. Her goal is to support them and ensure they can share their knowledge and expertise with participants in the best possible way.

Sara strongly believes in organizing events where people with the same passion come together. She looks forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of the Power BI Community Days and, together with her fellow board members, creating something truly special for the Power BI community.

Daan Oosters (Secretary)

Since June 2024, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Daan Oosters as the Secretary of our Power BI User Group. With his enthusiasm and dedication, Daan is the perfect addition to our team. He ensures that all our board meetings run smoothly and manages communication within the board. In addition, he plays a key role in organizing and coordinating meetings and other internal activities.

Daan has a long-standing passion for data visualization and has been working with Power BI for many years. As a Power BI consultant, he is involved in setting up and structuring Power BI environments within organizations. His structured and effective way of working makes him exceptionally well-suited for his role as Secretary. Daan is never one to sit still—he co-hosts a Power BI podcast twice a month and volunteers regularly at HCR hockey club, where he can often be found supporting the teams from the sidelines.

Remco Konijnendijk (Penningmeester / ICT-manager)

Het overzicht over onze financiën ligt in goede handen bij Remco. Hij zet de kaders zodat we financieel gezond mooie evenementen kunnen blijven organiseren. Verder helpt en denk hij ook mee met alle ICT-aangelegenheden zoals de website.

Naast zijn rol in het beheren van de financiën, speelt Remco een cruciale rol in het waarborgen van de financiële duurzaamheid van onze evenementen. Hij zorgt ervoor dat budgetten worden nageleefd en dat alle uitgaven en inkomsten nauwkeurig worden gemonitord, zodat we niet voor verrassingen komen te staan. Daarnaast is Remco onmisbaar in onze ICT-ondersteuning. Hij zorgt ervoor dat onze website altijd up-to-date is en vlekkeloos functioneert, en biedt technische assistentie waar nodig. Zijn veelzijdigheid en deskundigheid maken hem een onmisbare kracht binnen het team, waardoor we op zowel financieel als technisch vlak uitstekend voorbereid zijn.

Jaap van den Brandhof (Partnermanager)

The Power BI Community Days is an annual event that requires year-round preparation and coordination. In 2023, Jaap joined the board and took on the responsibility of managing the partners who make the Community Days possible.

Before becoming a board member, Jaap was already active as a volunteer, working closely with partners to understand and support their needs. This experience not only provided him with valuable insights but also helped him build a strong network within the partner community. His transition to the board was therefore a natural step, allowing him to leverage his knowledge and relationships at a higher level.

Ad van Dorpen (Event Management)

Ad van Dorpen serves as Event Manager, focusing on organizing and coordinating the Power BI Community Days and related gatherings. His goal is to contribute to a platform where participants can connect, exchange ideas, and be inspired to create innovative solutions together.

Throughout his career, Ad has often experienced the frustration of seeing a gap between people and technology. That’s why he works passionately every day to bridge this divide. His approach is described as no-nonsense, with a keen eye for the people around him.

He takes the time to truly get to know those involved and works with them to define goals that align with their strengths and potential. By fostering genuine connections and leveraging everyone’s unique qualities, Ad aims to ensure that upcoming events are not only informative but also leave a lasting impact.

Armand van Amersfoort (Marketing and Communication)

Armand van Amersfoort plays a versatile and crucial role as the creative mind behind the foundation’s online presence. Armand is responsible for maintaining the website, creating content for the social media channels, and composing the newsletter. Thanks to his dedication, the foundation’s message is shared with the community in an effective and inspiring way.

But that’s not all! Every month, Armand collaborates with the team to prepare for the Power BI Community Evenings. He takes care of the visual materials—such as invitations, banners, and social media graphics—to ensure that each session becomes an unforgettable experience.

The foundation believes strongly in the power of community and innovation and is committed to helping the Power BI community grow and thrive. Together, the team is building an amazing experience for every Power BI enthusiast. Follow the foundation and be inspired by their journey through the world of Power BI.

Jorrit de Jager (Volunteer Coordinator)

During the Power BI Community Days, we couldn’t do without the dedication of the many volunteers who help us with tasks such as attendee registration and room monitoring. Jorrit serves as the main point of contact for all volunteers. He creates the schedule and ensures that every volunteer knows exactly what needs to be done.

In addition to managing the planning and coordination of volunteers, Jorrit also acts as a bridge between the organizing team and the volunteers. He ensures that any questions or issues are quickly resolved and that communication remains clear and efficient.

Thanks to his efforts, volunteers can carry out their tasks with confidence—contributing to the smooth and successful operation of the Power BI Community Days. Jorrit’s commitment and attention to detail make him indispensable in ensuring a positive experience for both attendees and volunteers.

Marco Kastrop (Participant Coordinator)

Throughout the year, we maintain continuous contact with members of the Power BI community, both for the evening sessions and during the Community Days themselves. This communication ranges from answering general inquiries to handling special requests, such as questions about access tickets or specific participant needs.

Marco has taken on this important responsibility and serves as the main point of contact for all community members. His goal is to continually enhance the experience of every participant. With his friendly and supportive approach, Marco ensures that everyone feels welcome and that any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Thanks to his dedication, members of the Power BI community can count on excellent service and a positive experience—contributing to the growth and continued success of the event.

Chris Woolderink (Adviseur)

Chris Woolderink heeft sinds de oprichting een belangrijke rol gespeeld binnen ons bestuur, waarbij hij de afgelopen jaren als voorzitter heeft gefungeerd. In deze rol was hij verantwoordelijk voor het uitdragen van het 'waarom' van onze stichting en het waarborgen van onze visie. Zijn inzet heeft ervoor gezorgd dat hij niet alleen een zichtbaar en benaderbaar figuur was binnen de Power BI Community, maar ook dat ons bestuur optimaal bleef presteren.

Chris heeft besloten om als voorzitter terug te treden, maar hij zal niet volledig uit beeld verdwijnen. Chris blijft betrokken bij onze stichting als adviseur. In deze nieuwe rol zal hij zijn rijke ervaring en diepgaande kennis blijven inzetten om de stichting te ondersteunen en te adviseren. We zijn dankbaar voor zijn blijvende betrokkenheid en kijken uit naar deze volgende fase van zijn bijdrage aan onze gemeenschap.
